Go Cardinals!

Ok, so I know I have high hopes, but the Cardinal's still might have a Wild Card chance if they can start a winning streak with tonight's game. I have become obsessed with watching them play. Last night was tough choosing between the Cardinal's and Mizzou Football. We chose football with baseball between plays and commercials. Rick Ankiel and Ryan Ludwick have such great stories. I'm sure Lake will join their ranks in about twenty years :)

Week 1.5

Lake has already grown so much in the first week. We had our one week doctor's appointment and he has actually gained weight (8.1). He was 75%ile for height, 50%ile for weight and 14%ile for head circumference. He is truly Josh's kid!

First Day of School

Meredith started preschool this year. She loves packing her lunchbox and carrying her (empty) backpack.

Witch Hands

Do you remember doing this when you were a kid? The girls thought it was the greatest thing. Now we can't get them to eat Bugles without them doing it.

David Janes (my brother-in-law) wins race!

NORWALK, OH (Aug. 23, 2008) — Thousands of American Drag Racing League (ADRL) fans swarmed the starting-line area at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, for a raucous celebration of winners Frankie Taylor, Shannon Jenkins, David Janes and Billy Vose in the 2nd annual ADRL Gatorz Ohio Drags. Check out this link to view the race: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuYDUufHQSQ

More Baby Pictures

Lake has been such a good baby so far. He loves to sleep and snuggle. I think sleeping may be his way of hiding from his sisters who pass him around like a football.

Meredith loves to hold Lake, although she
won't talk to him if anyone is around.

Getting ready to go home from the hospital.
How is it that no matter how much you plan
the "coming home outfit" it never fits?

Lake has had enough!

This babysitting stuff sure is tiring.

Lake Jerome Meyer

Lake Jerome Meyer was born on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 weighing 7 lbs 6 oz and 22 inches in length.

Beach Ottumwa

Some friends of ours invited us to Beach Ottumwa this week. Hannah had such a great time. She could have probably kept going for a couple more hours, but the adults were getting tired and had gotten plenty of sun.

35 weeks and counting

The countdown has begun. We have about thirty-five days left to go. I can tell Josh and the kids are getting more and more anxious. I, on the other hand, realize we still have a lot to do before baby's arrival.
